I have jk aviars. Are the yeti aviars slightly shallower in hand? Thanks!

To my hand they feel shallower. Infinite Discs says they're the same height. I believe the term "puddle top" is used frequently for yetis which is probably where the discretion is.

I think the JK and Yeti actually use the same mold so aside from the different plastics molding up a little different there cant be a huge difference between the two.
I will fully admit I have very little experience with the Aviar though so I could be way off and spewing false information. |

The Yetis feel shallower. I think the shoulders are a little more rounded on the JK's that I've held.

JKs are out of a blend similar to RPro. Most of the JKs I have had are a little stiffer feeling vs RPro but it could be the same. The softer BB Aviar. Yetis are by nature puddle topped. Plastic is grippy and generally fairly stiff. Reminds me of SS from Gateway. They also, in my experience, have a little more glide and a little less fade vs the other BB Aviar variants. I have thrown a grand total of one Yeti Aviar, which was an early run 3x from circa 2012. had turn out of the box and stayed that way throughout my tenure with it which ended early 2018. definitely less stable than KC's. I've never thrown a JK but based on the softer plastic blend I'm guessing they're similar but a bit easier to turn over.

JK's are a tad more stable than Yeti's. Yeti's are naturally puddle topped so they feel shallower in the hand, but I have had pretty flat to slightly puddle topped JK's too. I think Yeti's have a bit more glide than JK's, the last two JK's I had just seemed to drop out of the air.
I've been throwing and putting Yeti's for 6 years, the plastic is just right for me across all weather conditions. JK's can get pretty soft and gummy in the summer. KC's are too hard, JK's are too soft and Yeti's are just right! For me anyway. ![]()

I bought some turquoise JK Aviars from a newer run that are pretty stiff, feel low profile in the hand and fly overstable when new.
