finally bought some star katanas.... I have a seasoned light 168g star and a max weight very stiff pop topped (seriously it looks like a female boobie) one.
the seasoned light star is what I expected: about 30ft longer than my star tern with less height and lateral movement. the brand new max weight stiff female boobie pop topped kind of excites me because the thing gliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidddes and still has a lot of hook up in the end when thrown flat. oh boy I wonder what this boobie top will do when it seasons. 169 G* Katana on it's way to me. My first G Star disc. Will compare to pro, champ, star Katana.

I lost a seriously beat up Star last weekend. I turned it downwind which is something I did not think I could do. Just ordered a Pro to play around with and compare to my Terns.

My bet is you will love that Pro. I will always have one in the bag. I throw it when there is room to work but do not necessarily need "wide open" fields to grab for it either. Max D for me. I would put it in between Star and Champ Tern in terms of stability.

Just took my 172 seasoned Star Katana out to a field over the weekend. I've thrown Destroyers, Terns, Bosses, etc., but this thing was getting 25ft past my best throws with the other discs - really nice flight with good turn and comeback at the end. I found this at a course when first starting disc golf and put it away as it was too much at the time. That was about 5 years ago! Why did I not rediscover this disc sooner?

The Lemon Lake Worlds First Run Star Katana has been my go to understable distance driver since there release. If you can find one that Is under 172 with some dome they are amazing I can throw them close to 450 on flat land and I can get outlaws destroyers bosses kings rampages cannons just past 400 but I have to work much harder and none come close for max D compared to the Lemon Lakes for me.

I love the distance I can get with the Katana, but I do wish I could find one with a more comfortable grip.
The wing just does not fit my hand well. Using Juns and Wraiths for BH disctance right now, but if there were a disc tha flew like a Katana but gripped like an Ape. I'd have a few of them. |

So I just stated playing in August of this year. I was given 3 discs by a buddy you lives in Vegas. One was a Star Katana. Now up until this week I have maybe thrown it once of twice just to see how it would go but I never could throw it very well. So Over the past months I have been throwing mids and putters and just working on my form. So this week I just started throwing the Katana off the tee, and man I am staring to see some progress. I am really able to get this disc to stand up and turn to the right and then have it fade back now. Also getting some god distance now. I really like how this disc feels and the results I am getting with it are great.
