I got mine in the mail yesterday and yeah it feels a LOT like a vulture but the rim feels, smaller, and pointier with a more upright base (by the bottom rim) which aids in stability. It feels WIDER Diameter but a thinner (in depth) rim, so the glide would make sense then. It does not feel that great/comfy to be honest, a thunderbird feels infinitely better in the hand. But it depends on how it flies . we'll see

I agree that it’s not the most comfy disc, both the out and inside of the rim is sharp

its sharp on the palm underneath and the pointy end (isn't that bad though)

Its not BAD to the point that I don't want to use it, but its NOT comfy for a forehand at all so that's out.

The thing I noticed the most was all the embossing on the inside of the rim.

Odd, both mine a smooth

Most Discraft discs have the "embossing" but all my protos ( Anax, Luna, Kong ) does not have it

Yeah if i push the disc into my FH grip that edge cuts into the side of the knuckle of my index finger.
But going to test some more times. . My Predator is not really that comfy either

It needs some flagging removed. I think it'll smooth out. Is it stable enough to replace an fd3 or sexton style firebird?

Well it is really stable, not Predator stable. .i have a few Firebirds and FD3s so perhaps i take a few with my to the cource tomorrow.

But if i have to guess. the Anax goes abit further than FB and FD3s. . and is a hair less stable

not sure, but I'll just guess, no you'll still want a Firebird in the bag. I need to test sometime this week though. And with work and home life sucking donkey ballz I don't know if ill have real time to do this. Adulting sucks. FML

I have been fondling both that I bought. The red one has less some, and is a 167-69. The purple is 170-72 and has max dome. I'm guessing they should fly different. The test flight vulture still has the lowest some.
