As far as Iron Hill is concerned, this is one of the easier ones! I can't wait to go back.
I lost an orange Roadrunner at this very hole back in mid-March when I brought my dad here for his first time. He insisted that we play the gold layout because he wanted to "get the full treatment" of the course. So, he thew 106, and I scraped together a 99.
The orange Roadrunner has since been replaced... twice.

Beat in Thunderbird to start.

Hopefully Rhyno or Aviar from there.

This is an odd basket. I've played it 5 or 6 hundred times. It used to be a par four and the basket was longer/righter than it is now. It was a respite from the beating that IH dishes out as throwing a forehand down the left alley to the crest of the hill left a wide open lane for an easy up and down three. I've only played the current location a few times (moved -- IH is and hour away . . . just too far to go each weekend with Stafford 25 min away . . .. ) and it's past my distance. I still just throw a wraith down the left alley off the tee and take my three . .. . (when I miss the trees . .. ) too old and wimpy to get anything except a throw in birdie. I know -- tmi, tough. Great course, just bummed my birdie three is now a par.
