In each category I've got one that's more overstable, one that's straight stable, and one that flips. Firebirds and Nemesis are utility discs. The firm Nikko wizard has become a staple thrower for me, it is a perfect driving wizard IMO.

3 Outlaws
1 PD
2 CD2s
2 Firebirds
2 Stalkers
1 Patriot
1 Nemesis

3 Ghosts
1 Caiman
1 Comet

4 Wizards
Ok, don't disappoint us. That's my job.

Haha I will try my best! I haven't played Lemon Lake in forever. I have to remember my game and not do stupid things like throw my max distance driver into the lake on Blue #10 . If I stick to my game plan and don't try to be a hero, I'll avoid blowups and probably score well.

Over the winter I was really worried about my elbow, but it's feeling pretty good now. I think it's really that I was trying to throw too hard- I was rounding and putting a lot of stress on it. In the long run, injuring it probably helped my game, because I forced myself to slow down and relax to avoid pain. Wouldn't you know, slow and smooth means better accuracy and more distance.

Inside the circle putting has also been on fire since I re-built my stroke last year. We'll see if it works the same way in a tournament!

Another work trip to Texas, checked out the Graytown course southeast of San Antonio. Relatively new Houck course, I really liked it even in 20-30mph winds! Took an even more minimal bag this time:

S-line CD2 (Roaming Thunder)
Z Stalker
Champ Firebird (Flat, gummy JL)
DX Roc
Firm Nikko Wizard

I shot surprisingly well and due to the wind, I only threw three discs! CD2/Firebird/Wizard was enough to get it done, and I barely felt like I was missing anything. Could have used a Comet and Caiman a couple times but that’s it.

Came in 4th in MA1 at the Squaw Creek tourney this weekend, not a bad showing considering how rusty I am right now. I only got a chance to throw a few times in the month leading up to the tournament. Luckily my backyard putting has really been helping. My approach/scramble/putting game is currently on fire, but I got into trouble off the tee way too many times. Simplified the bag a little bit and dropped some specialty discs:

3 Outlaws
1 PD
2 CD2’s
2 Stalkers
2 Firebirds
1 Caiman
2 Ghosts
2 Comets
2 Wizard throwers
2 Wizard putters

Latest travel bag (Germany this time):

Champ Thunderbird
Shatter Pinnacle Patriot
ESP Buzzz
Soft Nikko Wizard

I forgot how overstable a fresh Thunderbird can be. This thing would hang with my Firebirds. And I am loving the Shatter Patriot. It flies ridiculously far and straight for a 7-speed.

Tried the Buzzz for the first time in a while, just to mix it up. Back into storage it goes! Gravity Ghosts are still my go-to for the foreseeable future.

I've tried like 4 different Thunderbirds and haven't gotten along with any of them. I've found them all to be slower than advertised, low on glide, and dumpy.

I've had the same PD and CD2's in that slot for a while. If I lose one of them, I'll try an OLF or two. I've heard a lot of good things about the latest MOLF runs.

Yesterday at lunch I broke my personal best on the local 10-hole chucker course, shot a 22. Previous best was a 24. It's an easy course but still requires a variety of shot shapes and there's a ton of wind. Carried my full bag and went with a good variety of discs off the tee.

Notable change is in the midrange area, where I am now throwing Gator/Zone instead of Caiman, and no Comets! I think I might throw a beat Ghost more consistently than a fresh Comet.

3 Outlaws
1 PD
1 CD2
1 Rival
2 Stalkers
1 Nemesis (rollers only)
2 Firebirds
1 Glow Gator
1 Soft Zone
3 Ghosts
1 Scale
4 Wizards

The area in my bag I can't seem to lock down right now is the overstable approach midrange. For most of this year I threw a Champ Caiman, but I am loving my new Glow Gator. It's an insane meathook, and gets quite a bit of skip. So I added a Soft X Zone to have a little more mellow fade, and hit/stick instead of skipping. Seems like I try a slightly different setup every time I play lately. So many awesome options out there now!
