Default Throwback disc golf backpack

I'm in the market for a backpack as I now have quite the collection of discs I like to carry and play often so looking for a more convenient option for walking and hauling my discs more comfortably. I found this backpack for a great price and all reviews seem really great. Just was wondering what all of your opinions are on this bag.

Mesh has no business in disc golf. That bag looks like trouble waiting to happen. You'd be much better off with a DD Sniper for about the same price point. If you want to go really cheap the Magellan will last you a season or two of you take care of it.

Throwback offers people bags at a discount for a "fair and honest review". Take that as you may.

I would not recommend this bag I have never seen it in person but can almost guarantee two things for sure. One I can totally see the shoulder straps ripping off especially if you intend to load it down with 16+ discs and whatever liquid you choose to carry with you. Two I can almost guarantee the mesh/elastic is not the same as the higher end stuff that Upper Parks uses. I think you're better off saving your hard earned money and spending another 100$ to buy a bag that will last 3 to 6 years or longer depending on how often you play and the type of terrain you play on. Maybe even buying a high end used bag at the same cost. Just trying to help good luck.

Blah blah blah those straps will break
blah blah blah that will never hold up like my $800 kevlar designer bag

I remember these same threads when the Magellan came out. And my Magellan held up just fine. Seems like bag companies pay people to post on these types of threads to promote the overpriced bag market.

Now down to the real issue, which is the stupid layout of this bag. Only quiver storage on the sides? Yuk.

Getting really sick of this on amazon lately... You need to dig deep on some products and just avoid some others which have bad company feedback (not sellers) confusing as hell on there vs ebay etc.

I think it's safe to say that DGCR members are good at sniffing out a bad product. OP, you did well coming here to ask

If you don't mind spending a little more cash Upper Park Designs is a fantastic bag maker with phenomenal customer service. They have well thought out and extremely comfortable bags. I can say from experience you will not be disappointed. They also stand proudly behind their products and go above and beyond what I have seen other companies do for their customers. The Shift is an awesome do it all lightweight and very reasonably priced bag.

Buddy of mine has the throwback cooler bag. One of the strap clips broke the second time he used it, only had like 10 discs and his keys. Could have been a fluke, but not a good first impression

Yeah nothing but bad reviews on those Throwback bags from "real" users, the materials and workmanship are crap. Much better value out there than those.
