I get the urge to spend on any hobby when i want to participate in that hobby but cannot for some reason. I want to go climbing but I am too sore from yeasterday.... maybe I need a couple of draws. There is 10 inches of snow and is it -10 outside... maybe i will buy a disc. It is a way to scratch the itch even if you cannot go throw a round.

I fill my online cart up with all the discs i want. i chose the colors and weights and everything else. Then I look at the total, laugh, close my browser and finally go home and putt. Buying discs does not make you better but putting practice sure will.

eh, just my thoughts on a Friday at work.

don't be afraid to buy a stack of one mold if you find a disc you really like in a run of plastic that you really like. next year the next run of plastic could feel different, or the average PLH could be significantly different.

i have a dozen 11x CAL teebirds and a nice stash of KC pro teebirds and eagles (10x & 11x)

don't regret it later. buy those discs!

When I started playing in 2008, did the same thing - buying discs in lots.
Wanted to experience different discs and also wanted to find the perfect disc that would help my game.
Always used my own non-essential funds, never caused a hardship, never went too far.

When I found out that I actually got quite a few collectibles in those early days, it turned me onto collectibles.
So I did that for a while.

Then I started putting in some considerable field work and found out that it was me that sucked.
No disc will fly very well when the thrower sucks...

Now I just buy what I throw or what I practice with in the field.

Been selling my discs to PIAS 50 at a time.
If I could get some decent money for my collectibles, I'd sell them too.

When you find something that really works, it's awesome to binge and stack up. Did that with the Thunderbird last year.

Before that I found out that Glo Z Stalkers were going out of production so I've got 4 extras besides the one in my bag.

The thing that bothers me is the box I have of discs that I bought, tested and didn't like. Just sitting there with no potential to be used unless I sell or give them away.
