Default Longer Rat

What midranges from any manufactucter (if any) are like a longer Innova Rat: low profile, flat top, beadless, slight fade to maybe a little OS, comfortable for forehand and backhand but more distance/more glide than a Rat?

Low profile, flat top, beadless and touch of fade with good glide sounds a lot like MD3 to me.

MD4 fits a little better IMO. MD3 will get a slight turn to it where an MD4 should hold on for about .5 longer

Westside Pine is exactly like a longer Rat. More people need to buy these so they don't go OOP!

MD4 is also probably right, and is what I'm looking at if Pines ever go away (which is unfortunately looking likely). I've only thrown one MD3, and it was definitely less stable than a Rat.

This is a slot I'm very interested in, and will be curious to see other responses. I've tried many of the discs with numbers around this slot, and many are either too overstable (Bard, RocX3, Mortar) or not stable enough(MD3, EMac Truth, M2, probably Wasp).

A Mortar in Frontline-X might work for you. Recon plastic will be more OS. MD4 is also an option like skizzle said, but it is a larger diameter than the Rat and Mortar so the feel is a little different.

Thanks for the replies.

MD3 sounds like an option 5/5/0/3

I've thrown a Champ Caiman and Gator, they're both too OS and short for what I'm looking for. I find the Rat to be a shorter Roc3 (straight with a little fade) that forehands better than a Roc/Roc3. Official numbers for the Rat are 4/2/0/3 but it seems 4/2/0/2 to me.

If you end up going MD3 I’d get a glow, they’re the ones Eagle lights up a course with. I’ve had good luck with a Mint Bobcat but I rip my mids like they owe me money so they may be more OS than what you’re looking for for general use haha

Shark 3 might be what you are looking for. The mold is actually a 5/4/0/2 and a Shark 3 is a tad more OS then the Shark due to being the flat top of the Shark. Also the Glide goes from putter style with the Shark to more penetrating forward glide with the Shark 3, both having the same amount of glide just different styles of glide.
