Default Disc Data: Infinite Discs Top 100 Molds of 2019

Here's the article for the top 100 molds sold at Infinite Discs this year, plus their trends! Hope you enjoy it. I would put the picture in here, but it's just too big... so the link will have to do.

The Pig (187^) and Force (127^) I get with Ricky and Paul, but what caused the big jump with the Banger GT(122^)? Just that special swirly run?

I was surprised by the Firefly not making the list.

1. It's a putter (so many putters are sold, and more than a few made the list!)
2. It's associated with one of the biggest player names in the game (Sexton)
3. It's produced by the biggest manufacturer (Innova)

So I wonder... is it thought to be too much of a P2 clone to purchase? Did it come out too late in the year (it was announced on the Innova website way back in February, but I don't think it was actually on sale until June or July, well after I had lost interest...)?

Innova sells a whole lot of discs - but I wonder if they're being outgunned in marketing and sales by other manufacturers these days - and the Firefly is an example.

Is the Firefly a regular production run disc? I was thinking it was a limited run disc, like Tour Series discs...

Surprised the Pharaoh is so high. It's a good mold, but isn't it limited to Infinte Discs's website for sales, unless it's somewhere I haven't seen?

Also, a lot of Innova molds dropped, and dropped large. Residual and direct result of McBeast (and now PP) going to Discraft?

I don’t see the firefly doing big sales. If you put with Aviars or P2s there isn’t a big enough difference to make the switch if you ask me. If you’re throwing putters from another manufacturer the firefly probably isn’t ground breaking enough to make you switch brands. And, as good and popular as Nate is, his name probably isn’t going to sell discs like Paul, Ricky, Paige, Eagle, etc.

Just my thoughts about it.

This is only sales data from Infinite.

I'm surprised the Zeus/Kong is #2. I understand a new disc getting some hype, but THAT much hype? Geez....

The McBeth and Paige Pierce signings seem to be helping Discraft out a lot here. Lots of their molds have shifted up that list quite a few spots.

Agree that Innova has stagnated just a but.... other than the Destroyer of course. I think Innova more than makes up for that with more sales in regular stores, not so much internet sales. Innova is still BY FAR the most represented company I see in any store.

Haha, my favorites did not do great.

Have to say, shocked to see the Pharoah that high. I love the ID lineup, but that’s like their 6th best disc.

It is, Nate Sexton's disc. Basically a putter from Discmania made by Innova was the main disc they copied verbatim. This is due to Innova or rather Dave D wanting to force players to use Innova only discs going back to when Juliana Korviar was using the big bead Soft Omega in the 2000's. Why the Morter oops run with the microbead got copied by Innova, was that Nate Sexton or Jeremy Kolling Was using the Morter and more so the Microbead version.
