I think a lot of this comes down to Pauls mental attitude. If there are several ways to reach the basket he is confident that he can use them all. So he might as well use discs he likes or that are profitable for him and choose the line based on that. If he fails, that is his fault, not the discs. Similar to how he doesn't mark his lie before putting. Marking it would mean accepting that he is more likely to make the putt if he is 20cm closer, but that is not how he thinks. He thinks making his putt is up to him.

I think a lot of it is how enjoyable it was to watch him lace Nova shots. It was just a really fun disc/thrower combo to watch

You're right, it was fun seeing McBeast throw a Nova 350 ft. dead straight.

I like the heavier Flicks. They'll ride flat if you throw them hard, but you're still going to get the sharp, predictable late fade.

I don't throw sidearm a lot, but I love tossing the Flick that way. Its like throwing a lawn dart. No glide and you know exactly where it'll come down.
i throw almost exclusively forehand and have always (modern era) carried a lightweight super overstable driver as a utility disc. after using the 150 Flick for a month i never saw a need to ever replace it with a different mold. if i throw it high and as hard as i can it goes 150' forward and just about that far to the right at almost a 90 degree angle. truth be told if i use it more than twice in a round it is either VERY windy or i need a get out of trouble shot more than usual.

This is Paul΄s first in-the-bag in the first year with Discraft, and he already have:

4 Sig discs and 2 of his own design. . .thats more than half his moulds, in a year or two his bag will be all Sig. or own designed disc. . . . .Ricky have one Sig in the same timeframe?

Say what you want about Paul, but he is the best business man in discgolf

I don't know what Seppo's throwing, but talk about pretty! I guess he's the new "smooth" option.

Gotta agree, Seppo throwing that A2(?) on shorter holes and whatever he was hyzer flipping on a rope down narrow fairways was a thing of beauty.

I wonder what will adapt in Paul’s bag as the year goes on. He has often made changes to the OS control driver slot, and the Pred doesn’t bite as hard as the Firebird/Max/Monster that he has carried previous. Wonder if he might throw a Machete/Flick/Raptor when the Midwest section of the tour comes.

Would love to see them make a Comet OS of sorts. Something that can handle a bit more torque, but still hold a clean line (like the mako or nova). I think if Paul spent some time with a Titanium Comet, it would be really useful for him. It's a sloooow disc, which I think he may have overlooked when he tested it out (seeing it turn and burn on him).
