If one has an epiphany while falling to their death, that standing on the edge of a cliff during a windstorm might be dangerous, is that thought ironic or just late?

Not ironic in the least, Alanis

Standing on a cliff during a windstorm is moronic, not ironic. But the epiphany remains...

At least the consonants were correct. Vowels are overrated.

Think about it. When you "reach back" you don't actually reach backwards at all. You reach your arm directly forward from your chest. Then you pull it to your chest. Finally you straighten your arm to the side as you release the disc. The "straight line" only exists because you turn your hips.

Telling people that it is a straight line leads to confusion. How many people have you seen not turning their hips, but instead reaching their arm backwards and pulling across their chest. Why? Probably because somewhere along the way they watched a YouTube video or someone told them to throw in a straight line.
How do you "reach your arm directly forward from your chest"?

I almost had an Apophony when I saw him in those skates and Church of Disc thong.

At least it should be. Mine sometimes starts as a curve, so it exits as a straight line in the direction of trouble.
Yours too. Good to see that I'm not alone.
