depending on how in depth you go and how closely you want to conform to regulations you may need a sales tax permit as well (also depends on state)

if you are quitting your day job to sell discs I'd worry about it, but if you just sell mabe 1-2 discs here and there it shouldn't be a major issue

Assuming you live in Mi, you will need a tax ID and you will need to register with the county in which you live.

Screw getting a license. Advertise on craigslist, DGR and DGCR and keep it low key. Only take cash or paypal.

A friend of mine does this. He usually only gets in exclusive stuff from Innova and sells right out of his car. He doesn't have any kind of license to sell, just is really low key about it.

Usually companies require a Tax ID and a completed application before they will sell to just anyone.

I live in Michigan and have been selling discs at local courses/parks throughout the whole year. I have never been bothered not a single time for selling discs. I am quite obvious when there. Definitely not worried about low key. The community here is nice and Ive never received any complaints.

I could see the benefits of having a license and what not but I think it really comes down to how much you plan on selling. Also how many days a week and hours per day. If you are only going to be out there a couple days a week for a few hours I really dont think its necessary.

Its all personal choice though. Good luck

The State Sales Tax Licsense/Permit is generally referred to as a Sellers License. It will be different for each state. Here is a link for FAQ's regarding Michigan.

If it is a few discs a year, most individuals will not worry about it. However, if you are trying to order discs from a manufacture, they may require you have a sales tax idenfication number.

Also, depending on the local (city) jurisdiction you are in, there may be other requirements.
