I see we have different opinions here LOL. I am not convinced that the "3top" makes many discs truly different molds outside of the Aviar.

I cant tell a difference either. I bag one of each in my fairway slot. I started with a champ leopard and beat it in nicely then added a champ leo3 for the new slot. I lost the older Leo and the leo3 has rotated to the understable slot. A fresh champ Leo came in for the new position. Ill buy either interchangeably. All I want is the right colors.

Leopard/3s are both phenomenal. This coming from a former Teebird guy.

The Shark3 is definitely different than the Shark (at least my Star Shark). I've only used the Glow DX Roc, and my various Roc3s are a bit more OS, but I'll defer to others for a better comparison.

I find the Leo3 to be more stable than the Leopard (I have a couple of Star Leopards and several DX Leopards). The Leopard is like the River to me. Yes, I'm sure Leo3s will beat in to Leopard-like stability, but my Champ Leo3 is not there yet. I never thought I'd replace the TL in my bag, but the Leo3 is 'the one' in that slot now. I'm not trying to disparage the Leopard in any way, but it and the Leo3 are just different in grip and flight for me.

Leopards are great. Teebirds are great. Por que no los dos?

It seems like if you were not some sort of minimalist them they would be complimentary. I'M I feel like there's not enough of a reason for me to bag a Leo/3 with my TBs and my prophecy it doesn't fit in for me.

I'm talking about PFN Pro Leopards, specifically the cream colored ones.

Entirely different animal.

Flippy, yet controllable out to 400' or so.

I picked up a few Star Leo3's hoping to beat them in to the sweet spot, but they are taking too long.

I'm going to keep them for field work and hope they get there someday (I would like to eventually get all of the OOP plastic out of my bag).

Short answer: Thunderbirds. I could but wont elaborate here. Join the Flukes bag thread if youre truly interested.

A seasoned champ Leo3 and a seasoned champ Thunderbird are my workhorse fairways.

They absolutely need a Pro Leo3. Better hand feel, seasons in quickly. I went Patriot instead of Leopard years ago due to the dome/feel of a Patriot being better but wish they had more of a Leopard flight (excluding my Excel Patriot). They would absolutely kill with the good Pro they have been running for a Leo3.

Luster Leopard3s are such great discs. Now that the Gibsons have been out of stock for a while, I’m starting to wonder when the new year’s batch will be coming and if they will be the same. Hopefully we’ll get some in weights below 175g.
