Career is a strong word since I've never played an organized round. But last month I finally had a 200 ft throw in birdie after hitting the first tree. Just a nice smooth buzzz that had to flex around a tree over a hill. As soon as it left my hand I thought it had a chance, which was the first time I had ever felt that. Favorite feeling so far.

If you've played random draw doubles for money or quarter skins with your friends you have a career.

Geez there's a lot of shots that I remember, back to back aces with my dubs partner, on the same hole... two times! and we still lost haha. The time I got my only lone bird on #14 in my first tournament, that time in Kamloops at the provincials where I rode the wind with my esp force all the way to OB and 150' further than I should have thrown.. The $264 night golf ace with my glow Buzzz.

The absolute best shot though, I was playing Passive Park in 2010, Provincial tournament. Rained like crazy, moderate wind, nowhere near catching anyone for score. I was making good shots but my distance was severely limited to 330-350' and I was 100' behind my competition. So cold and wet trying to keep the mojo I get up to #13, nothing special about a 20' drop down to basket about 350-360' out. Wind's blowing in my face, I wind up and throw my esp fr Force as hard as I can on a slight anny. It floats and glides a laser line and cuts back just high enough to bang the basket and stick! It was the lone ace (except for the guy that didn't buy in), about $200 in my pocket and Matt from Snap discs sold (practically gave) me his first run le esp comet. Got a little extra respect from the boys that year on the start of my "pro" career. It kinda put me on a lot of people's radar as an up and comer and started more friendships with people that may not have been as approachable...

Then the next year I built my home course, got a comet, gave Mawdsley a run for his money on his home (public) course, met Glen Whitlock, and the year after that blew the doors off the Advanced Men category and tying for 3rd overall and moved up to Pro. Point is everything good started happening after that ace at my first provincial tournament.

Not best shot but maybe most memorable.
Hole #1 CDP opening day first throw at the course. I have a Polaroid of the shot. Many moons ago. 1996.

Drained a 250’ upshot at league this morning. Best shot by far in any competitive event for me. Rest of the round was absolute crap, but that’s a shot I’ll remember for a long time.

My best career shot was at the last tournament i had played this year.

Falcon's Flight 11, at Aspen Meadows East course, Central Coast did coverage last year if anyone wants to see the hole.

Unfortunately we had to play from the reds, so hole 8 is shortened to 350 I believe, still a par 4 because of the pinching OB line. Threw a big thumber over top the OB trees, expecting it to just trickle through. In turn I put my drive about 25 feet from the basket, so, longest thumber I've thrown, plus a good putt gave me my first tournament Eagle. I was so stoked.

The downside, after that I thought I could get aggressive and earn myself a top 5 finish, but I got extremely greedy and it all backfired on me. Doh! Lol

Feb 2018, a few hours after the final round of the Wintertime Open at Oak Grove. A buddy and I were playing through a group on hole 12 (320ish downhill shot over a ravine). My drive was fading right on line then stopped dead right at the basket. Took a second to realize but everyone thought it was an ace. Upon walking up to the basket with celebratory gifted beer in hand we sadly saw it had wedged (hard!) into the side of the cage.

Playing doubles league at Glenburnie DGC in New Bern, NC. 2015ish. Hold 6, 250 ft uphill tunnel. My partner and I both hit first available. Step up to our lie and gave my watermelon Envy a full send, dead center chains. Save the birdie from 200 ft. Our card mates had already walked up and said it would have been 100 ft deep in OB had it not went in.
