The arm doesn't pull the disc. The disc swings from the elbow and pushes the disc out from center. The hips pull the shoulder/arm/disc unit.

Yes, poor choice of words on my part.

Watch the golf YT link above Shawn Clement.
Seems like solid, practical advice. Thank you.

So this was my last round before I hit the field hard over the winter.

Didn't change much but worked on a flatter pull/avoid the swoop (did meh, but better) and trying to keep my off arm from trailing behind (did ok in the 1st vid, terrible in the 2nd).

My inability to get the nose down in the slightest is infuriating.

1. You start with front foot/body turned back too far away and never addressed to target. Setup addressed open to target and then turn away in the backswing while taking a 6" step forward.

2. You spin out instead of shifting your balance/spine/weight dynamically to front leg.
Note how your right heel spins down away from target and your left heel spins up away from target. Your heels need to move targetward, shifting everything from the feet/ground up underneath the head.

Saw this little move from Brinster after he shanked his drive, seemed gif worthy

@SW added those videos to the list and the list of things to try to grok and work on.

@az I wish there was more footage of Brinster. I could watch that man throw standstills all day

Got a few throws in the field after work. So nose up.

I am now convinced none of this will ever click for me.

I’ve been reading through the Slow Plastic form thread. 63 pages in and he’s back to doing the one leg drill. The struggle is real.
