Why do you buy plastic?

I think that’s true
I really bought a sh!tload at first, and then again two years later when I switched to playing primarily backhand. I mostly buy backups now (for most bag slots)

Either the better you get or the more you accept that you need to get better. I’ve stopped trying new molds for the most part because I know that I am so inconsistent right now that most disc over speed 7 aren’t going to fly the way they are supposed to.

But seriously, its like I keep coming up with reasons to buy. Most of them are 'what ifs'

what if my wife plays? I need to make sure I discs for her right? Or my kids? Or a friend that doesn't have discs.

what if I lose one?

I was doing great and hadn't bought any discs for like a year until league. After getting my league discs, my pump got primed and I've been way over buying

I really believe this....I know it has taken me a while to get over it (although I'm still not completely over it).

"I can't throw this disc and I'm not getting the distance/accuracy I want. Let me try another disc." "That one didn't work either, maybe this one will."

Then realization sets in. "Oh, it's not the disc, it's my form, lack of arm speed, whatever...but it's me." "Let me use what I have and work on improving/correcting what really isn't working."

I'm at that last part and am planning on getting lessons after the holidays. Meanwhile, I'm trying discs with less weight to see if that helps me at all. Next will probably go to just using midranges and putters for a while. I may even force myself to play a few rounds just using backhands - which I am truly bad at, but gotta learn sometime.

It would really be smart if a newbie got a starter pack, set aside everything but the putter and midrange, and played with just those for one year; while also taking lessons. I know I didn't do that and now wish I had....but it is so hard to do when you see your friends bombing throws.

Ugh. Ordered a couple of Envys last night. I am not even bagging an Envy right now and I have eight of them in my stash but the colors on a couple of plasma ones were just too hard to resist.
