North Valley becomes The Valley DGC

For those who have checked out the disc golf scene in the Twin Cities, you may have played and even reviewed North Valley near Kaposia on the southeast side of town. The course morphed into The Valley DGC yesterday. Four North Valley holes were removed and replaced by four new holes in South Valley by going thru the tunnel near old hole 15 which is now 11.

There are several old favorite holes still in the new layout but also several with some new tee positions and added pin placements. We're even keeping some of the old baskets out there on 4-5 holes where players can choose which pin to play. The city was inspired to upgrade the course after seeing the landscaping at Bryant Lake and they now have an annual pass of $30 to play both The Valley and Kaposia.

Some benches have been added and they are working on some nice new signs for both Blue and Red tees. The temporary aggregate tees on the new South Valley holes will be concreted later this year or next spring after testing the new holes for several months. The course is about three shots tougher with an estimate of 54 SSA for a 1000-rated round.
