How does the giant compare to the nuke os. i use the nuke for forehand and thumbers and love it but am interested in the giant. Its ratings have the giant being more stable but i find this hard to believe. Has anyone tried them both?

well the OS is currently one of the most hated, useless discs on the market, according to people who threw them for short while. i can assure the giant is not as overstable as the OS, probably not even in a 150 g OS vs 180g giant

What?!? I know a lot of people that love the OS. It's one of the best overhand discs out there. It's only 'hated' and 'useless' to people who can't throw it, or don't know how

The Nuke OS is much more OVER stable (not "more stable" - stable actually meaning 'neutral'..) than the Giant. So, yes, you would see the Giant being rated more 'stable'...which is in the opposite direction of 'over stable'.
Bottom line: Two different discs. You want a stupid over stable disc, use the Nuke OS; you want a moderately over stable disc with more bh or s-curve fh distance possibility, use the Giant. Karl |

I tried to love the Nuke OS, but it just wouldn't work for me. The only time I got it to behave was throwing RHFH into a gnarly headwind. That time it did go about 320 for me, but still turned into a roller at the end. A very strange disc, to be sure.
As opposed to the Giant, which I consider to be a very user friendly disc. For one, you don't need to put as much heat on it as on a Nuke, so you reduce torque if you are like me and have very imperfect form. I would suggest the Giant unless you are already familiar with Nukes and have good form. |

The King is definitely a straighter high speed driver but it doesn't handle a lot of power very well. Granted, I forehand Nuke OS's 400' easy. If you have the power and accuracy the Nuke OS is a great disc. I release them level and watch them go dead straight before fading off hard at the end. Very dependable and grants you even more distance the more headwind you encounter

Don't hate just because you don't have the arm for it.
