Default Go-to Control Driver 9+

Hey,

What 9+ speed disc do use as your control driver???

So I'm looking to settle into a control driver. I current used a 168g Champ Beast and a 170g ESP Flash for when I need to hit that line. I know we all use Fairway drivers like the XL, Teebird, TL, River, Stalker, etc. But I am talking about 9 speeds and up.

***Please include plastic types and weights as these can really change how much control you/we have.

I use a Tournament Sword
the flight ratings by Westside are 12 5 0 2
but it's probably in Innova speak more like 10/11 5 -1 2
in VIP it would be 0 turn

it get's good distance with out losing ability to control
doesn't skip too much

I think it was Discspeed who described the Tournament Sword as being like a speed 11 (or so) TL

mine are all at or around 170

How about a beat up 171 star wraith. For mild headwinds at least.

the only one above a 9 i carry now is a destroyer. i carry 4 or 5 of em and they work for me. i have thrown orcs, crushs and strikers which i think are above speed nines and they seemed like very controllable/workable drivers but they just didnt find a spot in the bag for an extended time. i have considered working the striker back in though.

PDs. A seasoned S or P is a thing of beauty. The P line beats in faster and is great for low power shots and hyzer flips

Pred, PD, and Roadrunner have me set all the way from left to right.

Roadrunners are 1.8cm rim width but Innova calls 'em speed 9 so w/e.

Easy answer: PD. And if I need a bit more distance, the Sword.

I like my 172 Z Avenger.
Hyzer, Anhyzer, or Straight it easy to throw and control. It can be a bit stable at first, but after a few rounds it will become much straighter. I get easy distance of 300-400ft depending how I throw it. Great for anhyzers.
