She took a position with the DGPT as the Environmental and Special Initiatives Coordinator. She played 18 events this year, but some of those were more exhibition stuff like the putting contest and mixed doubles at Worlds.

Might not have been sure how much she’d actually be able to play? Or the new job was seen as taking away from her potential by her former sponsor?

Gotcha. I had seen, before, why Paul chose Zeus in particular. But was mostly going off of word-of-mouth on the rational for a change in the first place.

As far as I can see the timeline for the Kong/Zeus went something like:

November 19 2018 Paul McBeth signs with Discraft.
December 28 2018 Kong is approved by the PDGA.
March 2019 Kong is released as a "proto."
July 2019 Kong is renamed Zeus for "official" release.

Had no idea that the Kong mold was around 10+ years. Interesting that Paul took so long to choose the name for his high speed driver, considering he had the naming scheme for the "mythical" line in mind in time for the Luna to be approved at the same time as the Kong.

I think it’s reasonable to expect that Infinite does not own any of the molds Innova produces for them, exactly like the Discmania relationship.

If Infinite doesn’t own the molds I can’t see Drew getting ownership either, it just doesn’t make sense.

EV7 themselves might not care to release faster molds, but that’s not to say their production facilities couldn’t be used to make them for somebody else. Drew does throw some Legacy, so maybe they’ll be involved in some capacity?

I’m sure there will be more details to follow, but now all we have is wild speculation.

If I remember correctly Adam Hammes is the biggest name with a contract ending this year.

Other notable names include: Gregg Barsby, Andrew Fish, Holly Finley, Scott Withers, Benjamin Callaway, Andrew Presnell and Paige Shue.

Infinite is not required to use Innova tops and bottoms. Why wouldnt they just build some of their own at this point. Legacy/MVP did a great job from scratch. Dynamic should have built extra tools of popular discs and ran them in Emporia years ago.
