From a business perspective, (sorry, I was a finance major, can't help my train of thought...) how does Discraft justify this? Their reported 2020 sales were just under $4 million. That is sales, not profits. Now one player is getting 25% of their sales?!

Gotta be an angle I am missing...

Seems like the sport is about to really explode and they are looking to be at the top of that growth.

Yeah He will most likely play all the DGPT and NT events including the newer Silver series just to get that little edge to help DGPT points, this now leaves most pros that do play the Silver Series like Simon Lizotte or Casey White to play only one or two other non NT/DGPT events anyhow when seeing some players schedules.

And the only discs that sell in big numbers are the Discraft Paul McBeth line and any other mold Paul uses. Maybe the Roach for those who can't find the Luna in premium but.... that might be it.

The discs were also out of stock for most of the year. They could have sold maybe 3 times that. So extend McBeth and at least double your production, just maybe he moves the needle that much.

Still I was thinking the same thing that is this the smartest business decision based on the fact that they were really only bidding against themselves? Who else would come close paying him that? I don't think anyone other then Innova could and my sense is that they've been pretty tight when it comes to big spending on pro's and they are still selling.

2020 sales might not be the best to look at. They did have factory shutdown for several months, so they weren't making additional revenue. All the discs in stores are already 'sold' by them at that point.
