Right? As a manager, beer sponsors are the first thing we go for in an event. Thankfully our F&B side has a ton of clout w the breweries and they are waiting in line to sponsor our events. Also concessions is HUGE money- some of the best margins anywhere in an operation. We’re a tiny place too, how nobody is on those big money sponsors at the PDGA level is beyond my logic. They’re just leaving money out there and that’s not smart.

Doesn't the rule say the TD has discretion but in a B tier and up it's an automatic DQ?

I heard something about a caddy carrying a beer at a pro event in California. Sheesh. Beer is the typical form of payment to caddies here in Wisconsin.

This thread has gone on for some time and I wanted to add a general comment. Neither Val nor her mom needs defenders in any way. Their character speaks on its own. I don't care if one or the other was caught chugging from a keg. One doesn't have to go anywhere beyond Val's general demeanor to know she is a great human being and a great rep for our sport. As for her mom, I don't have to look any farther than Avery and Val. Both are fierce competitors and yet are very warm and human. Having coached and dealt with many kids, I can unequivocally say, making a good human being, little alone a pair like these two is hard work. It is minute to minute, hour to hour and so on. Clearly, Val's mother is a good parent and a good human being. No matter what happened here, she and Val get a huge chunk of I don't really care what happened, you are on my good people list.

No, the word 'may' has a very specific meaning. It doesn't matter that many MAY get the meaning wrong.

Of course it matters. I mean, assuming you want the rule to be followed. It would cost nothing to add a few extra words in there to clarify it for people. Apparently half the people in this thread miss the relevance of “may.” So yeah, I’d say it matters.

I mean the majority of people in the world dont understand English so I suppose they are in the same boat as that half of this thread that you reference.
