Don't forget the obligatory "big fish" stories about the rounds that day.

"Man you wont believe the bad roll I got on such and such."

"Man you wont believe the awesome shot I threw on such and such."

"Did you see that WTF Richard that Fred threw?"

A possible concept that may or may not have already been offered to the City/County would be to always have 1 city course and 1 county course open for non tournament players. This would take more coordination of the TD to setup pools appropriately but they might be open to the idea that appeases both tourney players and casual players. Now making sure that also fits in line with what is required the the A Tier is another question.

As for the fees being required . . . I dont agree with paying for something that isnt being used but I do agree that it is reasonable to expect every tourney player to pay for the daily pass (unless they want or already have an annual pass).

You are only hearing one side of the story with some glaring omissions. This isn't about appeasing the casual players. This is about the people running the event not paying the money they owed Madison Parks for over a year. Not returning calls or emails and then wanting to move forward 2-3 months before this year's event like nothing happened. For them to try to put this on the parks department is bush league.

I appreciate you being frank about the situation.
For some reason the facts have been difficult to find.
What little came out was deleted on the fb page.
And since then I havent seen any really info.

Your frustration is totally understandable.
Hopefully the city will back off of these policies.

My advice would be to continue to keep open the lines of communication with the city and try to find out what precipitated this change.
City parks depts tend to be reactionary, and it would be nice to know what is behind it.
In other words, ask questions instead of making accusations or self-entitled objections.
Based on your announcement, it seems like this is your plan.
Sage advice for all of us to keep in mind. Later in the thread we obviously learned that their reaction is seemingly justified, but the point stands.

Dude really? DiscJunkie clearly thought you were the TD sharing info on a public forum. An easy mistake to make, your reply is plain immature. He clearly isn't talking to you as the hopeful competitor in the event, and he gave great advice that everyone should heed.

I will be playing the tourney, just for the free pizza and beer. Heard it's free entry this year. jk

Anybody know why online registration is closing a month before the tournament?
