Default Barry Schultz getting a job...?

I was watching a video this weekend and after the round they had a short interview with Barry Schultz. He mentioned that he will be "returning to the workforce".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73Cof_QMAm4 25:45 I don't know how to inbed the video with appropriate timing, etc....

Does anyone know what Barry's profession is/was? I just assumed he was making ends meet with sponsorship and tournaments, etc... I know there isn't much money in the game, but he puts in a ton of volume and consistently has a ton of wins throughout the year.

I hope it goes well for him...he is one of my favorite players to watch and a guy I'd love to play a round with one day.

It's all about that young blood apparently.

From that, I'd say yeah, he's gonna look for a good ol day job. Interesting. Surely someone in the DG market could hook this guy up.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's working for Innova.

I thought about that but I think he would have said "I'm going to work for Innova" instead of trying to enter the workforce....

I thought he was already working for Innova. Maybe the seasons over and he needs to start going to the 'office'.

Seems like it would be crazy he doesnt go that route.

I imagine someone with his kind of history is pretty valuable to have on your workforce. From connections to name recognition and experience im not sure you can get that with any "young blood" which provide an entire different focus to cutomer base.

That's great if Innova offers him a job.

However I don't think it's necessarily their responsibility to financially support team members after they retire or take a step back from touring.

They supported them during their touring years and helped them to earn some money doing what they love.

It should be on the individual to have a plan for after they're done living the "pro" life.
