As some above said, a lightweight River (Opto Air) will be the closest bet, and it'll season in with use, of course. But I'd scour the Internet for another Jade...

Many players like to shop local, and Three Putt mentioned his shop in the OP. I've had guys tell me straight up that they refuse to buy online.

Max weight Moonshine & Opto Rivers will do this, but Air ones will have less turn & fade.

I have had 3 rivers and none of them have flown like a Jade, I have never had a River "hook up" at the end of it's flight.

True, you can hyzer-flip a Jade to fly dead nuts straight, but on an easy toss, you can't get a River to do those nice easy stand-still "S" flights through the woods.

Also agree with the Starlite Sidewinder recommendation, but the Sidewinder has a wider rim.

That's cool. I'll buy from the local shop if I can. Sometimes they'll add something I want to an order. I only mentioned scouring the Internet for a Jade because that might be better than trying to substitute a River...

I dont have the experence with the sidewinders, but a Westside Hatchet is closer to a Jade than the River. The Harchet has less turn than the Jade, but also less fade.

Everyone mentions how squirrelly and nose angle sensitive Rivers are. (I would kind of agree with that with my small sample size.)

I've never thrown a Jade. Any nose angle sensitivity concerns with it?

an air river would work most likely. another otion would be a discraft zlite mantis or a air hatchet by westside discs.
