Why people think being associated with weed is a bad thing is beyond me. It will soon be legal in United States as a whole. At that point it will be legal in all of North America. The Maryj industry will be one of the biggest tax drivers in the economy. It will be a boon, it will fuel lifestyle moreso than it already does. We will be the sport in on that grass roots. The downside is that I can’t think of any drinking sports that are still popular.

You might be getting a little over-amped, there. Perhaps you need to find something to relax you, a bit.

I don't smoke, but it simply does not make any sense at all for cigarettes to be legal and not marijuana. I've never understood that.

I'm not 100% educated on how NHL deals with testing positive for marijuana. But, I know they are lax about it, especially considered to the other major sports.

I love this thread so much. So many secret scientists and know what's best for yous. PDGA will never test for weed, because by the time they could, it will be legal. It will still probably be against the rules to do it during tournament play, but so is drinking. And having a beer before your round is not prohibited as far as I know.

Not to mention between-the-line readers, going right past the pediatrics and geriatrics and sports medicine and the rest, to raise a clamor about what's not there.

So the PDGA asks for volunteers to provide some expertise, about a range of medical issues, instead of relying on the board's own layman knowledge?

And considers the possibility that, as disc golf grows, a time may come where consideration is given, not to the Olympics themselves, but international competitions subject to the same standards. In weighing those opportunities, shouldn't the PDGA be better informed of what will be involved?
