I do know that, even with my pro Leopard, I carried 2 champ Leopards with it for spares and 1 I used for over the water today in the wind, thinking it was pretty clear water and I could see the bottom and had my disc diver. Well, its gone. I think thats all that needs to be said.

DX Eagle: most versatile driver. If you disagree you a scrub.

Also I guess

DX Teebird: straightest driver. If you disagree you a scrub.

I used to think that the DX ones were expendable, too. Now that I've properly seasoned a couple Rocs and Gazelles, those precious works of art are worth more in my eyes. It takes months of precision tree-whacking and rock eating to get them to that perfect state of glide...

FWIW, I really like Dx Teebirds. I was skeptical at first, but they are S-W-E-E-T...when I carried Teebirds, I had one Champ and one DX. The Champ seemed to handle wind a touch better and had the bigger fade, the DX would just sail....

You're lucky you followed that second comma up with something good.

For some reason I have bad release issues with the DX compared to champ. I need to go work with it in the field more.

I think that sometimes people don't like DX Teebirds because they think they get flippy when beat, but really they just don't fly well with OAT. They'll flip over and not come back. If you throw them cleanly they can take a ton of power, fly super straight and go really far. On the flip side, you have to beat them up before they'll fly like that. They start off farily overstable.
