Default Sugaree-now open

Just wanted to let you folks know that Sugaree is now open.
Looking forward to meeting more DGCR members this summer.
Had a good ol' time playing with r-intermediate,sonny,bikinjack & and my partner sloppydisc back in April despite the ice damage.
We want a re-match !
Special thanks to climbtoo who did the high-wire act with chainsaw in hand on 13 and 15, otherwise the course would still be closed.

Yes we DO want a re-match. Outside of yesterday my Core has been flying straight and getting longer. Radar is in CO for a few weeks, but we're game for coming up. Next timemwe play for beer. I want to see bikinjack really motivated.

Anyone that enjoys mountain golf should get with Mando and play his course. You don't get swingsets for the kids, ducks to feed for the wife, or smelly public restrooms, but you do get a beautiful and challenging course with great holes and views. Bring sturdy shoes and all your shots. You'll love it. Mando is a great guide, and there is not a bad hole on the course.

And I would also recommend stopping in at the Coyote Kitchen in Boone for a meal. Bikinjack said the owner is a DGer so we went. They have good brews, and the best tacos I ever had. Try the Kobe beef tacos. WOW!. And get the habenero/peach salsa with the chips.

AWESOME!!!!!

Play for beer eh? I'm in. I thought it was habanero/pineapple salsa though. I can't wait to get back.

I'm up for a rematch, you betcha. Pick a good weekend Mando.
Next time though, I gotta get in a round of singles after the doubles warm-up.
You really have a sweet course Rich. Glad to hear it's open even if I am too far away to ever get there much.

Pineapple, peach, whatever. The beer was good. A couple rounds at Sugaree adn some food and beers at Coyote and I don't care what they bring me. I'll take the Guadalcanal doggie special with a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or the Highland Pale Ale. It's all good in the mountains.

It is indeed all good.

And Sugaree is awesome. It would be off the scales on Dave242's Appalachain Beauty ranking. I'm still amazed at how there are only two uphill holes, really only one. Amazing course.

I'll let you guys work out the best time. Things are going to be much different for the Slopman team next time, rest assured. You can expect alot more trash talking, now that I know you.
I'm good anytime except the second week of June and July 1-4. Climbtoo is another local guy who will want a piece of the action.

Please count me in. I'll most likely need to bring a friend who can get my butt up there, but I believe it's something I could work out. Let's do it.

First weekends in any month are out for me. I do believe I'll be otherwise occupied on July 24 (the Great 8). Otherwise, my summer should be pretty much open.

I really don't care that much about winning as long as I can see Bikinjack's face when he fires a brand new disc into the rockface on #9. Priceless.
