Default Get my dad something new

So my pops birthday is next week and I want to get him a new driver or couple drivers that might give him some more distance and predictability. He's got the old school throw that consists of hyzer flips or anny releases. He consistently throws 350 sometimes 400 if he gets a good pull in a tailwind. His go to now is stuff with not a lot of HSS but decent lss, like 150-140 blizzard Katanas or boss's wraiths. I'm thinking some of the latitude air series but unsure how they fly.

If he's throwin blizzard Katanas and Bosses decent check out the VIP Air King. Once it beats in he'll love throwin it on a hyzer flip lines and brand new it'll work with his anny releases.

If he wants something a little more stable for headwind stuff, get him an Air Trespass.

I currently throw a 150g Blizzard Katana (1st run - bubbles in flight plate) around 300-350 ft with flat release using control power - I don't really max out powerwise anymore - I play more of a control game.

I have tried alot of the other "air" discs (work next to GGGT).

157g Blizzard DD-2 - more stable than Katana, same distance with more fade at end. Handles headwind better. Probably would be my main disc if I power up.

157g Air Bolt - slightly less stable than Katana. Better glide than Katana. When I screw around and HF for max D this one wins.

150g Blizzard DD-2 - less stable than Katana, I can get better distance, but easy to flip, won't always flex back during s-turn

152g Blizzard Dominator - much less stable than Katana. Easy to roll.

150g Air King - least stable of group. Warped in trunk during 70 deg heat, rather disappointed with it.

Non Air Discs that I like:

156g ESP Nuke - new lightweight discraft competitor. Most OS of the group, waiting for it to beat in. Could be best of bunch - only time will tell.

169g X-link Lace - starts more OS than Blizzard Katana, but beats into similar disc - handles wind and trees much better, great grip

173g Icon Cannon - similar to Lace - beats into similar flight as blizzard Katana

169g Platnium Bee Line - just got it. Initial impressions are good - straight with minimal fade like katana, still evaluating.
