I finally got out to throw a couple Blizzard discs, but the tailwind/crosswind was so strong it was hard to tell what their flight is really like. FYI, I was dealing with a 20+ MPH tailwind that was occasionally a R-L crosswind.

About me: I currently max out at about 375' or so, and use a Teebird and/or PD as my main driver. I occasionally throw a Destroyer, but in calmer weather my favorite driver is a trashed DX Teebird.

In an effort to test the wind and gauge distance I threw my normal bag, and because I was throwing Blizzard Wraiths and Destroyers I threw 2 each of Pro Wraiths and Star Wraiths and the same with the Destroyers.

I threw the first 150 gm Wraith on a pretty decent anny thinking it would flex out because of the wind, but it went roller on me. In retrospect I should have put in on a higher line, but I think it still may have turned over. Second one I released flat and low, and it cruised for quite a ways about 5-10 ft off the ground before fading pretty hard (due to tailwind I'm sure). The Destroyers were about the same, and I was trying to release them flat as well. Second time I threw all 4 Blizzard discs at about 75% power and they seemed to glide effortlessly, but still faded fairly hard. I didn't have enough time to get any more throws in, but I think in that tailwind putting them on a very slight anny would have been the way to go.

The Blizzard discs were consistently landing just short of my Pro Destroyers (normally my longest disc) and they were fading hard in that tailwind, so I'm thinking if straightened out they'd bomb.

My take: They're not quite as stable as their heavier Champ counterparts, but seem to glide much better. Definitely worth a shot if you like Champ plastic, and want to find a durable long range driver for tailwinds!

Default Hero's dog disc the "SuperAero"

The Blizzard Technology has made its way into the Disc Dog sport also.... It reduces the weight of the "SuperStar" a 140g bite proof disc down below 110g. Called the 'SuperAero" it will be legal for long distance competitions like the "Quadruped" which has a max weight limit for the disc at 110g.
The durability will have to be really good to justify the cost at $13.99 , but I think they may save me some money in the long run if the fly as good as the "Hero Xtra 235 Distance" disc I use now at $4.00.( my club cost) They are good for about 4 throws and then my dogs make them look like pasta strainers and the distance is trashed..
They must have the Blizzard technology ready for Golf Disc also because these appear to be premium 1st runs and not Blem's or X outs

Default Metal Flake Blizzards

Hero also has some of the cool metal flake runs in the Champion Blizzard Metal Flake "TeeDevil"..... They still only seem to be selling Production Test Run-Blems in golf disc

Very Sexy

I got mine but debating about returning 2 of the f2 boss's. The quality is so bad that part of the rim is missing and skinnier than the rest. Theres no way these will fly consistantly and should of never left the factory even as a f2.
