Speaking from ignorance (I don't really know whether you'd call me a spin putter or a push putter), here's my mostly worthless advice. If you can't get it there with your regular push putt, turn your hips a bit more, reach back a little farther (in your hip pocket rather than your sternum), aim a little higher and to the right, and give your layup a chance to go in. In both golf and disc golf, I prefer to "die it in the hole." I figure throwing it harder than I need to won't do me any good.

damn use the same putter for most all putts ... so do my mates. Learn the pizza man/turbo putt n you can start knocking them in for long distance as well as up close

I push putt everything from about 35-40' in.

I spin "putt" anything inside of 200'. If there's a line, I'll just run straight at the basket with my putter and adjust power depending on the distance.

I've been having trouble with anything probably 40-60'. I can park longer shots, and (usually) drain shorter ones, but when I'm in the middle I'm never sure which throw to use.
