Default $$$ Wizards

I haven't seen a thread here for the $$$ Wizards from Gateway so I thought I'd start one. I just picked up six on Gateway's Cyber Monday special (and two Glow Wizards for the heck of it).

According to Dave McCormack:

Quote:
I want to clarify what a $$$ stamped putter is all about. $$$ stamped Wizards have an added polymer that's different than regular stock stamped putters. We use an engineered polymer which is a Thermo plastic Vulcanized (TPV) rubber combined with a specific type of polypropylene (NO LDPE and NOT a co-polymer PP) along with mineral fillers as weighting agents for all of our S plastic putters, mids, and drivers.

For the $$$ stamped runs we add a s lightly different polymer to give it a little different look, flex, and feel. Typically the discs will mold up a bit flatter (as you can see in the picture) and become somewhat gummy on the surface with use. Eraser Wizards do not have this polymer additive and do not have the same feel, especially after they've both been used for a few rounds.
Regarding the picture (those available right now, in red/pink only):

Quote:
These $$$ Wizards are Super Soft in flex, with an added polymer which makes the surface gripper and gummier with age... Also the shape is flatter than most Wizards... needless to say these puppies are $$$!!!!

I'm looking forward to giving these a try. I putt with a black 5S Wizard currently, but it's stiffer than two RFF Wizards I've got. These sound pretty nice.

I've been wanting to try these for a while now.

I'm hoping the local shop will get some in.

I used to put with the SSS wizard, then moved to a SS magic or S magic.

I find that the $$$ blends the rubbery grip of the SSS or more S's, but is closer in firmness to a SS or even a couple of S that I have felt.. I love the flatter flight plate as well. Great discs, my favorite putting version of the wizard.

I really want to visit Gateway some day...

On-topic, these Wizards sound really nice! I've seen the stamp before but I had no clue it was a special blend.
