I think this would work if you did a Peoria type system in conjunction. Basically pick 6 random holes and compute a handicap based on +/- par on those 6 holes, multiply by 3, to get the full round handicap. Require people to post their UDisc scorecard or even a pic of a paper scorecard. This pretty much evens it out no matter what course or what pads you play. The guy who wins is the guy who plays the other 12 holes the best compared to the 6 used in the Peoria system.

How do you think Peoria would work in disc golf? Any experience? To me it seems like a poor fit. In a sport where basically every hole is a par 3 I feel like the random 6 holes would be very random in how they sample birdies. We also have a much lower total number of shots so each single stroke sampled counts for so much more.

This by far would make the most sense. Just sayin.

Default If I get to play tomorrow...

If I get to play tomorrow I'll record my round/rounds in my DGCR scorecard and will post the DGCR round ratings here. The rounds will be visible in my scorebook if anyone felt compelled to see the actual hole scores, course, etc.

Are there other suggested ground rules?

18 hole minimum? If so, could it be 2 rounds on the same course or 2 rounds on different courses? In either case, then take the average of the two 9 hole rounds?

Other thoughts?

I have a middle school course just down the road that's basically a wide open, 9 hole 2400' course. Most days, par is a struggle haha. Haven't played it yet this year though so maybe I'd be better

We used to do this in the VIP section for bag tags. Each month you'd submit one round with the DGCR rating and we'd get assigned tags based on that.

Initially we used physical tags and mailed them around as needed. Eventually we just put the tag number in our signatures. It worked pretty good, we had at least 20 people playing at one point.

This is actually what I was referring to, also. I just didn't want to give away the secret. LOL.
