Default 150 class ESP Avenger

I have recently acquired a gift card for Amazon, and since Amazon doesn't have any P-line P2's for sale, I'm considering trying out a 145g-150g ESP Avenger. I've done some searching, and read some conflicting reports. Does anyone have any experience with these Avengers? I'm specifically referring to the super-light ones.

If you have used them before, are they overstable, stable, or understable? Are they squirrely? Will they go any farther than my 171 X Avenger?

Thanks in advance.

Random thoughts:

150 class esp is a pretty odd disc and probably OOP..

..I've never used them before but never really liked the feel of Avengers, so I don't throw them.

Just my opinion, it's time to start trying faster discs for more distance if that's what you're looking for.

Avengers are only speed 10 I think..

Speed 11+ :

ESP Surge, Pro/ Star Wraith, ESP Nuke, Pro Destroyers, Vibram Lace.

Surges are way more comfortable in the hand than Avengers.

ESP Nukes are surprisingly easy to throw for how fast they are.

Unless you're throwing sidearm, then flat Z Nuke / Star Wraith / Star Destroyer.

They are rare, but not OOP. It's not so much that I want more distance, just that I want easier distance. If I can throw 370' at 60% power as opposed to 80% power, I'd like to.

For what it's worth, the Avenger is a speed 9, and it goes just as far as any other warp speed driver I've thrown (aside from blizzard discs, but those are crazy unreliable).

I have a 154g ESP Avenger (7/10), 166g X (9/10), and 165 Z (8/10).

The ESP is super straight with a reliable fade. I don't remember ever turning it over but I'm only getting 330 in the field.

The Z has some turn for me and the X is fresh and is really overstable. I prefer the ESP.

For me the ESP is pretty much interchangeable with my DX TeeBird 167g (it gets there, but slower) except the Avenger is better in the wind and sometimes I OAT the TeeBird over, but not the Avenger. I use it when I want to finish left for sure but I wish it had more glide because I'm at elevation. If I lost the ESP I would probably replace it with the same weight or less.

I have a 155 esp avenger. Its super flat compared to my 172 esp avenger. Mine is the most stable avenger I have, but its still fairly new.

Is like throwing a longer pred. Getting it out to 300ish normal avengers are between 350-400.

I think once I start using it more it will straighten out. Its really good thrown on anhyzer lines for shaping in the woods.

Btw I have a 161 X & Z Avenger that fly almost exactly the same. Both are very long with more turn than my 172 z avenger. I can get them to hold the longest anhyzer without turning over. Both have more dome than the 155 esp.

It looks like the 150 ESP won't really do what I want it to... thanks for the input.

Don't overpay for discs on Amazon just cuz you have a gift card, I spend several thousand bucks on Amazon each year because every time I want something it's pretty much always cheaper on Amazon - just not golf discs. Some DG related stuff which I paid great prices on amazon are:

travelchair slacker chair(3 legged stool) $13 free shipping
Zippo handwarmer $13 free shipping
Innova Deluxe bag $35 free shipping (compares to all other manufacturers $50-$60 bags)
X mini II portable speaker $15 free shipping(charge lasts for about a month, loud as hell with decent bass for a tiny speaker)

Well, I never buy things... the only thing I might ever buy would be discs, so if I pay $5 more for a disc, that's fine with me, since I wouldn't buy anything else anyway.

I'm with 5Q. I loaded up on discs and a Fade Crunch with $250 worth of Amazon gift cards. Most of the stuff actually shipped from GGGT anyway at the same price and a few pennies less in shipping. If anyone else is in this boat, you can call GGGT with your Amazon order number and they will let you choose the weight/color you want. Nice folks.
