Default Youth Players: Mad City Open has 6 youth registrants

I see that the Mad City Open has six <19 junior registrants for this coming weekend. It seems like many tourneys do not even offer a junior division. If you have a youth player and are within striking distance of Madison I encourage you to register.

I can tell you that at least one of the players in only 11 and has never done this before. Novices will have some company here.

Some of the top WI juniors are moving up to Rec and Int. Saukville Open (Rec) had a 13, 14, and 17 yo on the lead card (along with a 30 and my old 39 arse).

Two day tournaments are tough for kids, as well...especially if they don't live close.

Hopefully this field has some other younger and/or less experienced players. In any case, that is who I'm giving a shout-out to come play.

One 13 or 14 year old local from South Jersey is playing in intermediate at Mad City too.

I'm not sure what juniors are like there, but personally, I would rather play advanced than juniors (I qualify for <19). The payout/competition is usually better.

One of the kids signed up for Juniors beat me in a tournament last year when he was, I believe, 12. Can't wait 'til next year when I can hide in an age-protected division, although I'm disappointed there is no Rec Masters.

Juniors only pay $30, and the player pack is worth double that. Come out and play!
