Default Fantastic Ball Golf Video

I wish we had this kind of technology for disc golf... but this is a fantastic correlation.

I'm surprised no one has commented on this yet. Looks to me like his "Happy Gilmore run" is in fact an X Step. Fantastic!

Finally got a chance to watch this. Two thoughts. First is that the animation shows how important the increased shoulder turn (stretch) and stopping the leading hip quicker leads to the increased acceleration or X-factor. This is directly related to what we see in the slo-mo of the DG pros. Second, since in DG we don't have to worry about hitting the dime-sized sweet spot of a golf ball we shouldn't have to sacrifice the accuracy as much. But that is only if you have got your form and timing down to begin with. Otherwise, like the once a month ball golfer trying this, the run up for DG-ers will spray the disc all over the place.

funny about the 10% thing, too.

isn't that about how much distance we supposedly gain from a runup?

i think we get more than that, but yeah.

If it isn't obvious how close a golf drive technique wise is to a disc throw it should be now after watching the video.

Love the slow mo part where you see the xstep and he is off the ground momentarily just like disc golf.

I'm going to be working on my left-handed golf swing to reset my backhand issues I've got. The additional weight and length of the club will hopefully make this process relatively quick and easy.

I think it depends on the runup. A big difference on a slow x step and a 360. But maybe up to 30% in my case.
