That's a big gap in distance.

Don't have much else to say besides you have a ton of drivers.

Can you really throw a beast 400 and a QMS only 240?

I have a hard time believing you are throwing a Beast 400' and a challenger only 180'... even if it is max with regularity. you should be able to get your challenger much farther.

he could be a torque monkey or crazy oat. so whenever he throws a middie hard it flips on him. thats the only way i can see it really playing out. but then the beast doesnt make since since its flippy as hell for torquers. hmmmmmmm

First off, he's new to the site.

Second, I'm pretty sure he put the distance he feels comfortable throwing, not what distance he is throwing them max at. I've played with Ray a bit, and he is very distance-driver oriented, so it makes sense that he's just started throwing putter/mids farther out than he was.

Third, I'm kind of disappointed that no one caught that it's his first thread, nor has said anything whatsoever about his bag other than his beast.

So, with that said:

Ray, you should work on getting rid of a few major overlaps if you want to develop consistency. Find your workhorses, and build from there. From what I've seen you throw, I'd say get rid of the Pro Beast, Orc, 150 Valk, Cyclone, SL, and Whippet for sure.

Maybe use them more for field practice, but not so much on the course. You'll end up finding yourself just picking discs willy nilly and not really getting a feel for them. Also see how the Destroyer/Wraith treat you. It's fine to have a backup all out distance driver esp. when they are destroyer/wraith which fly fairly similar IMO.

Then see how the Sidewinder and Surge SS throw for you, and find the one that's more understable
If I was making your bag, I'd probably put it together as follows:

Drivers (weight/plastic/model/(condition)/use):
175 Champ Viking ( used) - tailwinds
172 Star Destroyer ( used)- headwinds, and long hyzer
175 Champ Sidewinder( new) - roller shots/ downhill shots
175 Star XCaliber ( used) - long hyzer
170 Pro Wraith ( new) - Long Hyzers

Mids:
175 Buzz-D, (new) - versatility
180 QMS (used) - main mid

Putters:
164 Elite x Soft Challenger, ( used ) - main putter

ALSO also, let's get you to some new courses. What are you doing Sunday around 3? I might have to take you to Lakewood league so you can see what it's like to play in league. It is such a great experience.

Judging from your bag you probably havent developed much of an ability to shape multiple lines with one disc. i would pick one of the discs highlighted (based on color) and work on shaping ALL of your lines with each one. find which one feels and works best for you. just make sure when you go out to play you only take one so your not tempted
