Default Time to disc up?

This is me throwing a Kastaplast Kaxe Z (6 / 5 / 0 / 2) 298' today.

I played disc golf a ton back during college in the 07'-12' range but am just getting back into it. I've been watching a ton of video and reading a lot about backhand driving form but feel pretty stuck. I was getting better snap today though, because I was focusing on turning my shoulders in the reach back and "crushing the can" when planting. What would be a good next step? Disc up? Accelerate my x step? Something with my release point/height?

For the past few weeks I've been doing field work with the following discs (sorry, they're old and I don't know the weights of them):
Star Beast
Champion beast
Glow Valkyrie (feels like dx plastic)
Dx roc
Champion Boss
Champion Ape

I can't get the boss or Ape to turn over at all, but most of the others, with the exception of the star Beast, turn over and never come back. The Kaxe and roc fly beautifully for me. What's funny is that pretty much all of these discs average 300' in my biggest shots.

You are doing a lot right, need to widen your upper arm from your chest more and get more balanced on your front foot/ankle - pivot on heel. Practice on concrete and lift your toes inside your shoe slightly, should automatically pivot on heel as swing passes over foot.

Play around with Door Frame Drills pulling back your shoulder and arm wider as you shift hips forward. And swing the shoulder more back and forward in a pendulum rather than around horizontally.

I appreciate the help Sidewinder! I'll put some time into these drills and post results in a few weeks.
