I bought a Champion a couple of years ago that was really OS. I'm sure it would be in to the flight #'s but this thing was 9/4/0/3 at the start.

The Viking has the Valkyrie bottom, iirc. The one I had about 7 years ago was amazing - super straight, just a bit of flip, lots of glide, little fade. I had my longest ever laser-beam cage run with it, 330 feet and never left the line of the basket before smashing dead center. Good times.

Just got into the Viking this last summer after I saw a friend bagging one. I was lucky enough to get a PFN patent number champ one in a trade and it flies very true to its numbers. I happened to pick up a very slightly used, almost basically new Viking with flight numbers at my local PiAS and that thing flew more like a firebird for sure. I actually bagged both this summer and would purposely throw the more overstable one instead of my firebird to try and break it in. It’s been doing so very nicely.
The Viking fills the slight understable 9 speed slot perfectly for me. I used to pair it with a thunderbird, but those got kicked out for the prodidcus titan. My 9 speed lineup is basically: Firebird, Titan, Viking form OS to US duties. Great grouping in my opinion.

How’re the Vikings holding up against the Savant? I picked up a PFN Patent# Viking a couple for months ago. That disc kicked my Beast-Xs out.

With the Viking being such an old disc and not in Star, how are the new Vikings holding up and how do they compare to the Savant or any other disc in that -1/2-3 turn/fade range?
