I'm not meaning he won't be a decent putter but I doubt his putting will be good enough to get him on lead cards in the majors. Not this year anyway.

One thing you would think he would be good at quickly... is taking a comet/rattler/putt'r and throwing a nose up stall at the basket from 80-150ft. I'm sure he's thrown that kind of shot a million times with an Ultimate disc warming up playing catch with someone before practice/games...

im very curious to what disc he would actually use this shot for, I would love to see him use the rattler, but he may just master it with his throwing putter. Rattler would be closest thing to an ultra star though.

Someone needs to tell him about the Discraft Skystreak…

Its basically an Ulitmate disc that's PDGA legal. One of the older in guys that used to play in my weekend group was a sniper with one of these things inside 150ft.

I wonder if it is entirely possible that the fans of just Brodie Smith are going to revolt every time he is playing an event but not on camera?

So are Sky Stylers and the J-Star legal for PDGA use. The other disc he could use is a Rattler, basically a Ultimate disc made into a Disc golf disc size without the flight grip rings. I am not sure if the Sky Streak is even made at this point.

I went to use an old Wham-O disc, a Pro Jr 145 gram sized disc in my first year of play as my second disc for shots that I was not good enough to do with my Rubber putter.

I prefer having a mixed bag. Then again I started playing when all there it just Innova & DC. For a new player today it would be exhausting trying to find a starting point with all the different companies out there each making great stuff.

I'm sure it's so helpful for Brodie to be able to zero in on one catalogue to dial in his molds.

From what I remember, Skystreaks aren't as flippy and are more workable. The problem is, they are OOP like casey said above and the Ratttlers being made today are made in an inferior plastic to what they used to be made in.

Its almost too bad he didn't pick Innova so he could throw Novas.
