Though I have seen it used on here more than once and I have asked around; I still don't know what a "prerube" is. I'm assuming this is supposed to be a joke that I'm not getting...?

Why did you pick the name Prerube? Seems unique...Whoops, I guess probably should have searched before I asked.

It's everyone's secret desire: to become a verb.

I know of disc golfers who've achieved verb status by building barricades that stop discs from skipping to the green. I've been Daled by a few of these at Earlewood Park.

The greater honor is achieving expletive status, when players yell your name in anger when they hit one of those barricades.

Sometimes it happens by the players themselves rather than the owner/designer. With due respect to Wayne Pierce, The Course Formerly Known as 'County Line DGC' came about it's adopted nickname honestly. From the earliest moments of us playing it, guys would blame owner Matt Jara for the tough terrain and our bad shots. The most common comment would be something like, "I got 'Jara-nated' on hole 3," or "I had a great round going until #s 13 & 15 'Jara-nated' me." I even heard that one guy had a three-stroke lead one round, heading into #18, and threw across the big creek (they thought inbounds) and he never could find the disc forcing him to re-throw 3 from the tee-box only to lose.

Accordingly, the name "Jara-nator" just kinda stuck. Though his private course straddles the the Ellis County/Dallas County line south of the Metroplex, Matt acquiesced and decided to just adopt the nickname we gave it as the official name. He just had to understand that he didn't have worry about humility in naming a course after himself; our nickname was as much umbrage as it was loving disdain. The interesting part is that it didn't matter if the hole that got you was designed by Matt or Wayne, whatever happened players would say they got 'Jara-nated'. Oddly enough, "Pierce" is already a verb in its main meaning.
