You're also getting your package subject to inspection. If someone down the line catches it and has it marked up to FCM or Priority, I assure you that "the post office attendant suggested it" will not be held as a valid excuse.

I learned NOT to do that because you can ONLY send it Priority in their official mailer specified for that purpose. No downgrades to First Class.

Turn it inside out and use tape to seal it.

Yup. Or stick it inside a cheap manilla envelope.

^this. For singles, I use a plain white 9"x12" envelopes. They're too roomy lengthwise, so after I seal the end, I fold it over into a square, and go once around clear packing tape. That way the disc fits quite snugly inside, pretty much eliminating it from sliding around inside where the edge could pierce the creased edge of the envelope. About $6 for 25 envelopes, or a quarter a pop.

The plain envelopes weigh less than padded, which can make a difference if you're shipping 180g mids.
Pretty sure tyvek weighs even less than paper, but the higher purchase price more than offsets any likely shipping savings.

Agree with you my friend. Much easier to do that. I am using that method for a long time now but the only one difference is that I am using special label tape that is sticks to virtually any surface and is durable enough to withstand scrapes and abrasions. I don't trust in tape and paper. I buy this kind of label tape from https://www.mrdepot.ca/ I think this is much more logical because then you will be sure the postman will see your envelope and the address on it so it could be delivered at the right destination

I just shipped a disc for $4.49. Crazy how much rates have gone up the past few years.

Boohoo, try Canada. Single discs can still squeek in for $5 in country, no tracking... but two cross border is $18+. It's really gone up for me in last two years and I'm kinda jealous of you folks.

No tip on cheapness but beware the box you put it in, I had a package lost for over a month because it was shipped in a lithium battery box. It was "undeliverable goods" so it got shipped back to sender. He reboxed and no problems.

Increase in shipping has gotten me out of selling online. Mostly sold throwers and after paying shipping, just not worth it anymore.
