Default Dx Beast 2nd life

After 2 years, my dx beast it pretty much useless. It just hyzer flips to the ground now. So rather then throw it away, I melted a dx stabilizing ring from another dead disc onto it to raise the leading edge. Now I'm just a casual player and don't do tournaments so I'll melt them anyway I want. I haven't thrown it yet though.

What was your process for melting the two pieces together? I want to try this also.

I just used a soldering iron but made my own tip from threaded rod and a right angle bracket secured with 2 nuts. It takes some patience as it's kind of slow to melt.

In the interests of experimenting, I'm curious to see how it goes, since you're already doing it.

But DX discs are cheap, so for myself I'd just buy a new one and keep on chuckin' discs...

I actually do have another one I bought awhile back. It was a 160g but I ended up using the heavier one as it went more where I aimed. My 175g beast is now 177g with the added material.

I was able to try it today. Seems to work like it did. Did an easy 300 feet, finished a little right on a flat throw.
