Okay, this might sound confusing so sorry in advance...
There is one hole at a local course that has 2 baskets (One straight left, one straight right, like a "V", teeboxes look like a "V"). along both fairways there are OB sticks on each side, so in the middle of the "V" there is an OB area. Can a person who is aiming for the left basket purposely aim down the right basket fairway since its more OB friendly without getting a penalty? If it helps, the sticks start about 10 yards in front of both teeboxes. If anyone knows the course its Hole 5 at Stafford Woods, NJ. Thanks Sponsored Links

The right fairway "should" be inbounds regardless which pin is being played unless the TD for some reason declares it OB.

Ok, so as long as the disc is in somewhat between either fairway is good? It was a casual rd just was wondering.
Thanks |

This is the sort of thing for which there is no generic or default answer. It is whatever the course designer/owner or the tournament/league director wants. Unless someone who plays there regularly (or who has played tournaments there) happens to log in and see this, you're not likely to get a solid answer.

Yes there's no mandatory on that hole so no problem. I would recommend practicing going for the correct fairway instead of hiding from accuracy issues but on #5 at Stafford there's no issue with what you're asking. Side note I like that new pin position, got bored of trying to ace run hyzer the original basket. Such a fun course! Hit metal on both #3 and #10 with a Comet last time I was there. |

Yeah that course is great. I try to play there maybe twice a month.
Thanks for the input all. |
