Is it ethical for pros to play in their local tournaments?

I have no issue with them playing in MPO. Like most people say, it is honor to have a top name or 2 come out. Any negatives underwhelm the positives of them being there. That is, as long as they don't cut in front of other groups who are also playing the event /S.

That said, most developmental pro tours in ball golf (mini-tours), prohibit those who have played a certain number of PGA tour events or have a certain ranking, from competing in their events. Generally though, PGA tour pros are eligible for the Club Championships at the local clubs they belong to.

Maybe as the sport grows and we get these developmental leagues, such a rule may make sense.

Really. If I was 40 I would think hard about playing masters so that I dont have to play with the young kids. Not because they are better then me but because I find the younger generation a lot more annoying on a personal level. Im that angry old man that tells kids to stay off my lawn, except Im only 30.

This would make a little more sense if disc golf had the money that ball golf has.

If you are 940 rated, you have to play in an advanced division, or open. You have to play MA50 or MA1. I think I missed the point.

Funny no matter how many threads you are told that it’s possible to be older, and good, and want to play with others the same age your still don’t believe it and think it’s about the merch.

People pay money at some events to be on cards with these pros.
