Default Emoney is moving to TEXAS....

So, its official. I will be moving to Austin TX in a few weeks. I will be living near-ish Roy G disc golf course.

Can any locals give me some info on the various leagues? Courses that flood? Most popular league? Putting leagues? Minis? Doubles? Best courses?

Any help is appreciated...

P.s. any fishing spot info would be dope too

Circle C and Roy G are sweet. Searight and Zilker are fun shorter courses.

The Colorado river right off 35 in the heart of downtown Austin is an amazing fishery.

roy g, austin ridge bible camp, east metro park, and circle c will be your best nearby(ish) courses. wilco (Williamson County Park) up in Leander is great too. not a local so i don't know the leagues.

Austin thinks they have good tacos. they don't, go to San Antonio
I-35 sucks balls and you'll spend hours of your life on it, not moving
Tex-Mex is bull$hit, don't waste your time
avoid Lone Star, Shiner is acceptable
watch out for all the hiptsers

Yep, I-35 does suck, but luckily halfway between Austin and San Antonio is San Marcos, home of the Flying Armadillo Disc Golf Club. When you get stuck in that traffic (and you will), make a quick detour and come play our two courses. You won't be sorry.

I'm looking forward to playing Flying Armadillo over Thanksgiving weekend while visiting my dad in San Antonio.
