Hmmm does that mean you haven't tried a Relay? Put that on the wish list..

I haven't thrown the Inspire, I threw the Signal off and on for awhile but I will continue to be the lone supporter of the Switch even though the light eclipse SE Crave has stolen it's bag spot. I like that Switch dump but not the squirrelly front end stability. It really is a specialty shot shaper but it is useless in a wind.

As far as Envy's.. I don't want anyone to get me wrong on the SE eclipse, it is mellow proton it is not less stable than a plasma of similar weight unlike the SE Crave. It is less stable than a standard proton Envy, more on the front end (HSS). Going from a 172 plasma to a 165 eclipse is probably an equivalent jump.

My mainstays are 167 plasma Envy's with a couple 165's thrown in. I usually pack a soft E 165 and a plasma, I can turn them a bit to flex my lines and if I have height I can force a 200' anny pretty easy. The soft Electron is now at a point where it will finish left (LHBH) downhill.

The eclipse comes along half the time as a side of beef for FH's (and BH) and I play with it exclusively at night golf. It is still very stable on a downhill run.

oh no i have a relay i like it a lot my beat fizz volt covers similar lines of a fresh n relay

once i lose that fizz volt ill cry then put the relay in my bag

i did hit basket on a 300ft hole that is shaped like the switch flight big turn with a hard dump its more of a specialty disc but i would rather half ass power a beat wraith to get the same flight

Yeah I think I could use my light 143 fission Photon and/or the Crave to cover a lot of what the Switch did. A beat Wraith or Bolt would be nice, I used to like those in my pre Gyro life.

i searched around for a wraith replacement and tried every speed 12 ish gyro mold on the market

aint nothin that could replace the wraith

those fizz photons are nice tho

Long post, actual questions in the end.

After playing almost ten years without much improvement, I'm thinking (again) of simplifying my bag and really working on my consistency and distance next year. My current max distance is about 100 meters with Lift, and Plasma Wave (around 169g), and some others, doesn't really matter if I go faster or slower.

For putting duties I use Firm Electron Pilot, and those are fine.

For putter drives and approaches I currently bag one beat Medium Electron Pilot for clearly understable shots, SE Neutron Pilot for most approaches and short drives, and SE Neutron Entropy for forehand approaches, short drives with heavy fade, and "hyzerbomb" approaches. All 175g or so.

For midranges I haven't used those much for years as distance wise I get similar results with putters, but I started to bag Proton Tangent again last summer, and played around with Electron Matrix lately.

For drivers I have old 175g Neutron Resistor, which is beefy but workable for overstable drives (probably equal distance as with my mids or putters..), short forehand flicks (very short, my forehand drives suck even more than by backhand), forehand roller approaches, short skips shots etc.

And then on the another extreme I have Neutron Skulboy Virus (169g) which I mostly use for uphill drives and some "big" anhyzers are hyzerflip to turnover type of shots.

Between Resistor and Virus I have 166g and 169g Lifts as my main drivers. And few months ago I added Proton Wrath for slightly more overstable drives, as the S-curve by Lifts wasn't ideal for some wooded tunnels in my home course.

Then I have had other faster stuff like Photons and Waves which I plan to ditch, keep it under speed 10 for now.

So here's my current thoughts:

I used to love Neutron Envy when it was released, but eventually drifted away from it, but I'm wondering if I should go back and replace non-putting Pilots and Entropy with few Envies, maybe beat and fresh Electron and one Neutron? I am missing some overstability compared to Entropy, but I think I can work those lines with powered down Resistor just fine, as I used to do before Entropy. I have actually two Electron Envies in my storage which I have never thrown, how do they season?

I'm thinking of ditching Tangent and using just fresh and beat E Matrix, maybe one Neutron or Proton as well for windier cases. Is there difference in stability or feel between Proton and Neutron Matrix?

For drivers I will definitely keep Resistor, but otherwise I'm not sure. Lift is great, but as a single driver mold I feel like it lacks some stability for certain situations (where Resistor has too much). Virus is similar utility disc as Resistor, which I could eventually replace with beat up version of some other disc. I guess I could replace Lift with various versions of Wrath expect there isn't much variation in those. I'm thinking maybe just go heavier Lift, or switch to for example Volt? I loved to throw Electron Volt before Lift, but that gets beat up too fast in my wooded courses. Of course that would be good replacement for Virus I guess. I know there is lots of variation in Volts, where should I start? Neutron? Proton? Fission? Plasma? I like my drivers flat, I remember that some of the Volts used to be bit domey, is there difference in consistency between Volt plastics?

I love Neutron Volts. Protons tend to have a more S style flight with an earlier turn and harder fade, where Neutrons I’ve found glide better on the fade and have a later turn. I’ll tell you what-I have a flat neutron, so you can snag it, or buy a few new Neutron ones, and if some come domey I’ll trade you for them. I love the domey Neutron, but they do come flat more often than not.

As far as your other questions, I won’t be too much help, but I’ve found I like the simplicity of entropy+one more putter mold. I actually use Mint Profits and absolutely love them, but depending on preference Envies are amazing driving putters too. I would still keep the entropy as even with the overstability of Profits I’ve found glide too much for the shots I like the entropy for.

The electron envy starts a little stable like a neutron and moves to a very straight flight quickly within a month or so, after a solid year and a half it develops enough high speed turn to drift left and finish left (LHBH) on a steep downhill. Still pretty straight on the flat though. I feel like it is now less stable than my plasma proxy.

If I lost one of my main plasma 165 Envy I would just grab a 170 electron soft as a quick fix while I season a new plasma

I posted a video on the FB fan page on the cosmic neutron volt. It is quite overstable (I hit the basket ) But wanted to reach out there and see if everyone has had the same experience - I picked up 3 CN volts and they are aLL VERY overstable. I would rate them 8/5/0/3 anyone else have different experiences?

Mondays suck

idk mate

i threw my friends cn and i would clock them in at 9/4.5/0/3

it really flew like the last n volt i got my greasy fingers on only difference is its cosmic

no remarkable difference besides its pretty and cuter

All my other volts show a very clear -1 if not -1.5 turn and no way NEAR as OS. I've used about 8 other volts in a variety of plastic, but I've also gotten a few flippy volts that were instant rollers. So maybe they vary as well, I'd be interested in comparing PLH at a store if I can ever get to one
