At that point you will have a lot of Clubs/TD's with their necks stuck out having paid for players packs and such. They will have accepted sponsorship and have to refund all of that money. The people on the ground are going to take a whack in the wallet if they have to cancel this late.

Waco (at conclusion of round 2), Tx States, Jonesboro, GBO are suspended. All other sanctioned events are advised to follow the direction of local authorities.

As of right now our local B-tier for tomorrow is still on. The TD is trying to get the player field under 100 to comply with the statewide ban on large gatherings. Should be good anyway since athletic events with no spectators are exempt

This just feels like a bad dream. I'm in meetings all day to prep for the arrival of the virus at the healthcare facility where I work. Glad to see disc golf taking appropriate action but sad for everyone and all the tournaments which are being so drastically impacted.

I wonder how much of an economic impact GBO has on Dynamic Discs?

That and the surrounding communities.

Masters now suspended. I suspected the PGA was being much too optimistic to start tourneys by the 2nd week in April.
I wonder if we're going to have to wait for a vaccine before life gets back to somewhat normal.

It's not an easy decision to make, but it's kind of an easy decision to make.

If I understand the strategy, what they are doing is not trying to keep us from being exposed. They are trying to slow down the exposure and spread it out so we don't overwhelm a medical system that isn't prepared to handle all of us getting sick at once. With that in mind, I think all these "end of April" ideas are going to fizzle and the cancellations will drag on. I think Coachella shooting for October is more realistic than looking for thing to resume in May.

I should also note that I'm wrong a lot, so take that for what it's worth.

This is what I think they are trying:

So it depends on the timeline of when it peaks with measures. Until it does that, all the timelines are just guesses.

I mean it’s not like we don’t have several other countries worth of data to look at. The only way anyone has turned the tide on this thing is massive social distancing efforts and extensive testing campaigns. We know what we have to do.
