Ebay has around $25 for a new unthrown.

Bump. Anyone been throwing the Ellen Widboom Stars?

I recently added an older 6/10 Champ back to the bag and damn has it been consistent for me. Fast foward a couple rounds and a fresh 9/10 Champ (beefy jollylauncher) made it into my bag as well. I know about the older Stars, was curious whether I should bother buying one of these or not...please and thank you.

I think the old stars are great. To me it is just a longer thunderbird, it really doesn't get the crazy skips that the 4 fade would indicate. you can also usually find them kinda cheap, compared to other collector plastics.

Normal skip after a drive and natural fade? Intentional skip shots?

When I throw intentional skips with them they're great! Almost aced a 225ish dogleg left with one a couple days ago (straight low drive hard hyzer angle, pops up and glides/fades for part #2 of the flight around the trees).

They are great for skip shots! what I was referring to is more their tendency to go dead straight then get to the ground without going to far left on a rhbh. if I threw the same shot with a destroyer and an xcal, I would expect the destroyer to end up farther left if that makes sense. On intentional skips, I find they push more forward where a destroyer wants to take a left turn.

Such a good disc, one of my most accurate drivers for sure.
