We're roughly 10 days behind Italy. Things are about to get significantly worse here. Stay inside. Wash your damn hands. You'll be able to go out and play eventually

No doubt.

I'm thinking of advising everyone who likes posting that Such-and-such caused such-and-such number of deaths and we didn't shut the country down, to hurry up and get in one last post, because they're about to be swamped by reality.

The area where I live (SE Michigan) has been identified as a hotspot. It makes sense for me to hunker down for the next week or so, especially given the behavior of the groups I've seen. I wouldn't put it past some of these Covidiots* to make all sorts of unnecessary contact with baskets and who knows what else?

Maybe even other peoples' car door handles, just "because I can" for $h!ts and giggles.

I’ve thought a lot about playing disc golf during the shelter in place order, and my view has evolved as new information has become available. At first, we thought it transmitted like the flu. Then we learned it can live for a long time on metal (baskets) and plastic (discs). Then we learned it is “somewhat airborn,” and can stay in the air for hours after someone coughs or sneezes. Then we learned that alcohol must be at least 150 proof to kill the virus. What else do we not yet know? I’m old with diabetes so I’m staying home. Good luck.

I thought that the China Virus will macigally disappear when the warm kicks in. I have been told so.

Is it logical to assume that as more testing is done, the number of cases will rise, but the death percentage rate will go down? (Due to so many people with minimal symptoms, etc.)

Yes. The numbers right now are heavily skewed towards the very sick and heavily symptomatic victims.

Makes sense. Good chance most of the limited # of tests are going some of worst cases and/or high risk patients, which has to skew the data.
